Seeking a role as: VP/Director of Innovation and Product Development
In location: San Francisco Bay Area – open to relocation in Los Angeles or San Diego
Skills: Dynamic and results-driven leader with over a decade of experience in innovation, product development, and commercialization, primarily in the CPG space, with expertise spanning Food & Beverage and Beauty & Personal Care. Most recently, this leader held senior roles at a start-up, overseeing key strategic milestones, including a successful intellectual property sale. Key achievements include:
- Developing and executing a 3-year innovation pipeline that launched new products and achieved strong revenue growth
- Growing sales from $10K to over $2M while enhancing gross margins to 25%.
- Managing P&L and implementing strategic financial initiatives to optimize budget allocation and extend operational runway.
- Pivoting marketing strategy which led to an increase in opportunities by 42% and increased organic social media engagement from customers.
- Leading cross-functional teams in operations, marketing, and brand development to ensure successful product launches.
Compensation: Base salary expectation dependent on size of business and incentive package but upwards of $175,000
Education: MS is Biomedical Engineering and BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
