  1. Responsible for all other supervisory activities including, but not limited to, labor budget management, performance evaluation, hiring, discipline, coaching, training and development and termination recommendation.
  2. Coordinates with production the monitoring of processes and procedures to ensure products are manufactured in conformance with GMPs, Food Safety Practices and customer specifications.
  3. Ensures the execution and efficacy of key QA tasks such as the sampling and assessment of production samples to ensure that products meet internal and customer-specific food safety & quality standards; propose improvement plans when gaps or improvement opportunities are discerned.
  4. Collaborate with other Quality Team members or cross-functional team members to produce and distribute reports analyzing food safety and quality compliance trends, efficacy and efficiency improvement as well as cost-savings opportunities.
  5. Prepares reports that document testing activities, test results, and operational issues involving product quality and safety and present to factory, Plant Management and Corporate.
  6. Ensures an active GMP and internal quality audit program in compliance with the  Quality policies and the latest edition of the SQF Level 3 code.

The Food Safety and Quality Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activities of the QA Technicians assigned to the shift. They will monitor product quality attributes; apply and maintain quality specifications; conduct statistical analyses of quality and process data; evaluates trends; and recommend process changes. They will also oversee inspections and ensure compliance with USDA regulations, company programs and policies, and SQF requirements.

Candidates MUST HAVE 3+ years of previous Quality Assurance experience in a USDA-FSIS-regulated food manufacturing environment!
