Kinsa is recruiting for a: Plant Manager / Meat Processing
Location: Greater St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
Our client is a well-established specialty meat processor, and is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at a key manufacturing facility in the Greater St. Louis area. You will oversee all aspects of production, maintenance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while driving performance across cost, quality, service, and safety. - MUST HAVE 7 years of Operational Leadership experience in a food processing plant environment.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $140,000 – $150,000 Base Salary
- 15% Bonus

Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Lead all plant operations including production, maintenance, scheduling, and workforce management in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Drive performance across key metrics including cost, quality, safety, and service while ensuring consistent operational execution.
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety programs, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with FSQA department to oversee food safety and quality programs including HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze plant performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Lead and develop plant leadership teams, supporting employee development, engagement, and succession planning.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to support capital projects, maintenance planning, and operational improvements.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including significant experience in food production environments.
- Experience managing USDA-regulated food manufacturing operations.
- Proven leadership in plant operations, continuous improvement, and team development.
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, SQF, GMPs) and regulatory compliance.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing plant budgets and driving cost improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Meat Science, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
