Director of Quality, Dairy

A rapidly growing dairy manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to lead and build quality and food safety functions across a high-volume production environment, with a focus on cultured dairy products, and related applications while driving scalable systems, operational integration, and continuous product innovation.

• MUST HAVE DAIRY MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE in Quality Assurance, R&D is a plus. 

Compensation/Benefits:                                                                         

• $150-170k base salary
• 15-20% Bonus target PLUS Equity

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Build and lead all FSQA programs including SQF, HACCP, FSMA compliance, GMPs, SSOPs, allergen control, and environmental monitoring.
• Oversee quality systems for liquid processing operations including blending, batching, viscosity control, and product consistency.
• Ensure process control across HTST/UHT systems, homogenization, and cold chain management.
• Optimize formulations for cost, shelf life, scalability, and commercial production readiness.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations to improve yields, reduce variability, and support new line startups and plant expansion.

• Build, lead, and develop QA, lab, and R&D teams while establishing KPIs and training programs.

Competencies Needed for Success:                                                                                   

• 5+ years of experience in dairy manufacturing, with strong exposure to liquid processing environments.
• Strong technical expertise in HTST/UHT processing, homogenization, and beverage formulation.
• Experience building teams and leading SQF, HACCP, FDA compliance, and food safety systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
