Kinsa is recruiting for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager
Location: Houston area, TX (Onsite, with relocation)

For well over 50 years, our client has manufactured food products. They achieve success through collaboration and innovation in an environment where employees feel empowered. They are looking to add a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to their state-of-the-art production facility in Houston. You will be critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the plant’s equipment and systems. You will develop and implement maintenance programs and work closely with production to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with FSQA standards.

  • 8+ years managing the maintenance function in a high-volume industrial food manufacturing plant. Exceptional engineering leadership skills. Strong preventive & predictive maintenance track record.

Compensation/Benefits:

Key Responsibilities and Goals

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery, equipment, and systems within the plant. Develop and oversee data-driven preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Cultivate, manage and schedule an expert maintenance team. Foster an environment of safety, continuous improvement and collaboration. Champion strong predictive & preventive maintenance practices.

  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, focusing on cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or equipment integrity.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes to ensure timely availability of critical components.

  • Ensure that maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, food safety, and environmental standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and compliance with food safety standards.

Competencies Needed for Success:

  • An Engineering degree or a strong track record of engineering experience required.

  • 8+ years managing a maintenance team in a high-volume industrial food manufacturing plant.

  • Expert knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven track record of managing teams.

  • Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and expert with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles (certifications highly preferred)
