Location: REMOTE USA
Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive business growth and expand market share across North America. This role is ideal for a results-oriented sales professional with a strong background in food ingredients and an established network within the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities & Goals:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within targeted market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, marketing, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product commercialization.
- Accelerate customer onboarding and strengthen long-term account partnerships.
- Develop and expand key accounts while identifying opportunities for growth within existing customer relationships.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support strategic business decisions.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals and performance metrics.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience within the food ingredients industry.
- Proven track record selling ingredients used in food and beverage applications, including dietary fibers, prebiotics, sweeteners, starch-based sweeteners, or related functional ingredients.
- Strong technical understanding of ingredient functionality and applications across categories such as protein bars, gummies, confectionery, bakery, cereals, snacks, and functional beverages.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business, manage strategic accounts, and close complex sales opportunities.
- Established network of contacts within leading food and beverage manufacturers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and highly driven to achieve results.
- Candidates with prior experience selling dietary fiber ingredients and related functional food ingredients are highly preferred.
- Relationships with major food and beverage manufacturers, including large multinational and branded consumer products companies, are a significant advantage.
