About Our Client:
Our client is a well-established confectionery manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in producing classic candy and expanding into innovative, functional confections.

What Our Client Offers You:

  • Salary Range: Base Salary $90K to $100K with uncapped commissions.  Reasonable OTE first year is approximately $130K to $140K
  • Bonus Package: 20%
  • Medical Benefits: 100% employer-paid employee premiums, Day 1 coverage
  • 401(k) Benefits: 6% employer match, immediately vested
  • Paid Time Off: 14 days (Yrs 1–2), 21 days (Yrs 3–4), 28 days (Yr 5+)
  • Relocation Assistance: Not provided

What You’ll Do:
Join our client as a Business Development Manager in the confectionery sales space, where your expertise will be pivotal in rebuilding and growing the legacy candy business while supporting the company’s transition into next-gen products. As a key player, you will:

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities across retail, wholesale, and foodservice channels.
  • Re-engage dormant accounts and expand product placement within your assigned scope.
  • Present and negotiate quotes, ensuring profitability within established guardrails.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with brokers, distributors, and key accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast sales, plan promotional activities, and resolve customer issues.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and customer meetings, promoting both legacy and innovative confectionery products.

Qualifications You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in food or CPG, preferably confectionery or snacks.
  • Proven hunter with a track record of opening new accounts and managing long sales cycles.
  • Experience selling into retail, wholesale, or foodservice channels, with knowledge of broker/distributor relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed, and disciplined in record-keeping.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%.
