SEEKING A ROLE AS: FSQA Manager, Regulatory & Compliance Manager

IN LOCATION: Based in the Greater Chicago area. Not willing to relocate. Open to local opportunities within large commuting distance.

PROFILE:
A results-driven Food Safety & Quality Assurance leader with 11+ years of progressive management experience across shelf-stable CPG, snack manufacturing, and regulated pharmaceutical environments. Recognized for leading cross-functional quality and sanitation teams, strengthening audit readiness, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in highly regulated facilities. Brings deep expertise in HACCP, SQF, FSMA, cGMP, CAPA, regulatory compliance, and environmental monitoring programs.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
– 11+ years of leadership in shelf-stable CPG and snack manufacturing facilities.
– Advanced SQF Practitioner and PCQI-certified leader responsible for HACCP plan development, annual reassessments, and compliance oversight.
– Led preparation and coordination of third-party, customer, FDA, and regulatory audits while maintaining strong compliance performance.
– Designed and implemented Environmental Monitoring Programs, Food Defense, Food Fraud, Crisis Management, and Recall systems.
– Managed cross-functional teams across Quality, Sanitation, Production, and R&D to resolve non-conformances and drive CAPA initiatives.
– Oversaw finished product testing (microbiological, analytical, organoleptic) and vendor verification programs to ensure compliance.
– Led mock recalls and traceability programs, ensuring rapid response and corrective action readiness.
– Strengthened quality culture through employee training in GMPs, Allergen Control, Good Documentation Practices, HACCP, and Food Defense.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science in Biology
HACCP Certified | FSPCA Preventive Controls (PCQI) | Advanced SQF Practitioner
Internal Auditor | Food Defense Manager | Root Cause Analysis

COMPENSATION: Base salary expectation in the $120,000 – $140,000 range depending on scope of responsibility, incentives, and benefits package.
