SEEKING A ROLE AS: Head of Human Resources for a food processor or food service organization that values the HR function as a part of the executive leadership team.

IN LOCATION: Currently living in Chicago, IL and looking to relocate to the Southeast USA – ideally Florida, but also open to Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Texas, or Arizona.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
– An innovative and results-driven Senior Human Resources Executive with over 20 years of experience in the food industry.
– Her expertise spans all facets of human resources, including employee and labor union relations, talent acquisition, management, development and retention, policy development, compliance, payroll, HRIS, employee safety, workers’ compensation, and benefits and leave administration.
– Most recently, she has served as the Sr Vice President of Human Resources at Home Run Inn, a privately owned frozen pizza manufacturer and restaurant operator. There, she led union avoidance initiatives, developed the HR team’s skills, and fostered a culture of excellence by improving employee experience, engagement, and morale. She also played a key role in reducing turnover and driving continuous improvement across multiple locations.
– Previously, she held executive HR roles at Alpha Baking Company, a bread manufacturer, and Edward Don & Company, a foodservice equipment distributor.
– At Alpha Baking, she led union labor relations, negotiating contracts, and building stronger relationships with unions. Her work also focused on implementing HR strategies and new HR technologies that enhanced employee experience, engagement, and retention.
– Similarly, at Edward Don & Company, she successfully guided HR efforts that improved employee satisfaction and retention.
– With a strong track record in optimizing benefits administration and compliance, she utilizes transformational leadership to drive talent development and strategic initiatives.

EDUCATION: B.S. in Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago, along with several professional certifications, including PHR, Stagen’s Foundational Leadership Program Certificate, and Certified Targeted Selection Trainer.

COMPENSATION: Base salary expectation dependent on cost of living and responsibilities but likely in the $220-240,000 range plus incentives.
