SEEKING A ROLE AS: VP of Sales, Business Development / Sr. Director of Sales

PROFILE:
A highly accomplished Commercial Business Development and Operations Executive with deep expertise across coffee, beverage, roasting operations, wholesale distribution, and specialty retail. Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing sales organizations, developing strategic customer partnerships, and leading complex multi-site operations, this candidate thrives on driving profitable growth while maintaining operational excellence. With extensive experience spanning specialty coffee roasters, RTD beverages, private-label production, and wholesale distribution, they bring a unique blend of sales leadership, operational discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.

IN LOCATION: Based in New York. Willing to travel as needed to support business development and strategic partnerships.

SKILLS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
– Senior sales executive with extensive experience leading national commercial strategy for a direct-trade specialty coffee roaster.
– Rebuilt and developed a national sales organization focused on accountability, forecasting, process improvement, and long-term partner growth.
– Extensive leadership experience across sales, education, service, operations, and customer development functions within the specialty coffee industry.
– Deep cross-functional collaboration with sourcing, roasting production, finance, marketing, innovation, and operations teams to align growth strategy and execution.
– Built and operated three multi-site shared roasting facilities serving 50+ private-label and contract roasting customers nationwide.
– Led facility buildouts, operational scaling, workflow development, quality systems, and production optimization across multiple coffee roasting operations.
– Created scalable operational systems and QC protocols that maintained product consistency and service standards during periods of rapid growth.
– Advisory and R&D experience supporting cold brew innovation initiatives for a major global coffee brand.
– Entrepreneurial leadership experience building specialty café concepts, beverage programs, wholesale channels, and RTD distribution strategies.
– Strong people leadership focused on coaching, mentoring, accountability, and transforming underperforming teams into high-performing contributors.
– Experience working with organizations ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to nationally recognized premium coffee brands.

COMPENSATION: Base salary expectation in the $200,000 – $250,000 range depending on total compensation package, incentive structure, and scope of responsibility.
