Kinsa is recruiting for a:  QA Manager or Director / Food Manufacturing 
                                           
Location: Salt Lake City area, UT (Onsite)

Our client is seeking a QA Manager to lead all aspects of product quality, food safety, and sanitation within its manufacturing operations. The company has experienced rapid national growth and is building a world-class team to support continued expansion across retail and distribution channels. This role will oversee site-level quality systems, regulatory compliance, sanitation programs, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with Operations, R&D, and Corporate Quality leadership.

  • MUST HAVE 7+ years of FSQA experience in a food or beverage processing plant environment.

Compensation/Benefits:                                                                         

  • $130,000 – $160,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • 10% bonus potential (higher for Director)

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

  • Lead and continuously improve all site-level Quality and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, GFSI certification standards, and customer requirements.
  • Oversee quality systems, sanitation programs, and lab operations to ensure consistent product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and evolve HACCP, environmental monitoring, allergen control, and traceability programs across the manufacturing facility.
  • Partner with leadership to prepare for and host internal, customer, and regulatory audits while ensuring timely closure of any findings.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics including complaints, product holds, and testing results to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop quality and sanitation teams while fostering a strong food safety culture across the organization.

Competencies Needed for Success:                                                                                   

  • 7+ years of food manufacturing experience with increasing leadership responsibility (10+ years for Directors)
  • Experience leading quality, food safety, and sanitation teams in a food/beverage manufacturing environment.
  • PCQI certification and experience with HACCP-based food safety systems.
  • Experience managing SQF or BRC regulated facilities and supporting regulatory audits.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, GMPs, OSHA, and food safety compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field.
