About Our Client:
Our client is a growing bakery manufacturer backed by an established parent company. They are investing in strategic, scalable commercial leadership to expand national growth—especially in foodservice—while strengthening retail performance.

What You’ll Do:
As the Director of Sales, you’ll own national commercial strategy and execution—building the plan, driving growth, and rolling up your sleeves to make it happen. This is a high-impact role with a clear path to expanded leadership as the business scales, ideal for someone who can balance big-picture strategy with hands-on selling and broker management.
- Build and execute the annual sales strategy, operating plan, and budget across current and prospective customers
- Grow foodservice business while maintaining and expanding retail performance with key chains, distributors, and partners
- Lead and optimize the national broker network—managing current relationships while expanding coverage aligned to the strategic plan
- Own customer relationship management: bids, compliance documentation, business reviews, issue resolution, and ongoing account development
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance to manage pricing/program profitability and resolve deductions and other customer-related variances
- Collaborate with senior leadership and internal teams to share market trends, identify new product opportunities, and support trade show strategy and execution
Qualifications You Have:
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in bakery, with experience in both foodservice and retail
- Proven success building sales strategy and executing hands-on (presentations, planning, broker enablement, and customer engagement)
- Deep understanding of the national broker network and how to drive growth through brokers and distributors
- Strong working knowledge of food safety/quality expectations required by customers (including SQF-related requirements)
- Intermediate+ proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
