About Our Client:
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Nutraceutical/Dietary Supplement industry, focused on innovative formulations and high-quality production. They are expanding their operations with a new state-of-the-art facility in Colorado, dedicated to high-speed extrusion and soap manufacturing.
What Our Client Offers You:
- Hourly Rate: $100 -$150/hr (dependent on relevant experience)
What You’ll Do:
As a Soap Maker, you will play a vital role in launching and optimizing the new manufacturing facility. Your expertise will contribute to process development, equipment setup, and production efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards are met, while training staff on best practices. Your role is essential in establishing a smooth startup and ongoing operations of the high-speed extrusion line.
- Lead the startup and commissioning of the new high-speed extrusion line, ensuring smooth operation and process optimization.
- Develop and refine Syndet formulas, scaling batch processes for commercial production.
- Advise on sourcing and setting up industrial-grade soap machinery, including plodders, automated cutters, and jacketed tanks.
- Implement and oversee GMP standards, quality control protocols, and regulatory compliance for FDA or regional cosmetic regulations.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to vet raw material suppliers and establish reliable sourcing networks.
- Train production staff on equipment operation, raw material handling, and safety standards.
Qualifications You Have:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or related field, or 5+ years of hands-on soap manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience as a Soap Maker or in a similar production role, with expertise in Syndet formulas a plus.
- Strong operational knowledge of extrusion/finishing lines and process optimization skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to train and lead staff.
- Experience with regulatory standards, quality control, and GMP practices.
